Beech, bluebells, hazel and conifer
Part of the Bathurst Estate, our site is part of a large block of woodland just outside of Cirencester. We are really lucky in that our site has two distinct parts – on one side we have majestic beech trees which, in late spring, boast magical carpets of bluebells; on the other side we have conifer plantation interspersed with birch and hazel. These two parts give us sheer endless opportunities for play and exploration as well as plenty of resources for woodwork and bushcraft.
We have a lovely basecamp with shelters, log circle, fire pit, tool area and plenty of dens. There is designated parking available at the sawmill. A compost toilet is available on site. Our basecamp is easily accessible yet feels a million miles from everywhere.

Please do have a look on a map and follow the directions rather than the postcode!
From the A419, turn off into Quaker Row towards Coates. Take the first turning to the right into Hailey Wood Sawmill. Drive slowly straight through the sawmill – we park on the right-hand side where the big barn is. If you find yourself in the woods you have gone too far!
