We are currently looking for a number of volunteers, advisers and bank session leaders (qualified Forest School practitioners). If you are interested in any of these, please get in touch.
Volunteer – Fundraising Support
Could you be the one to make a real difference to a small social enterprise and the community we serve?
Have you got experience with project funding – finding funding opportunities, writing applications and possibly helping us with a longer term fundraising strategy?
Have you got some time on your hands at the moment, a minimum of two hours per week?
We are looking for a volunteer who can support us with fundraising. Into Nature CIC is a small social enterprise that was established in autumn 2019. We want everyone in the community to feel connected to nature around them, for health, wellbeing and empowerment.
Our mission is to create down-to-earth opportunities for children, families, individuals and organisations to experience the benefits of being outside in nature through nature play, Forest School, woodland skills, wellbeing sessions and training. We strive to make our sessions more inclusive and accessible for all whilst also making our business financially sustainable.
You will be part of our small team and work with our directors and freelancers, keeping an eye on potential funding opportunities and helping us to get applications done. We are also keen to develop a longer-term strategy to be able to plan for the future. You will need to have access to a computer, internet and Zoom.
Volunteer(s) – Session support
We are looking for one or more volunteers to support us with our sessions, especially our parent & child groups. Ideally, you will have experience working with children and/or adults, be willing to help setting equipment up and packing it away, be welcoming, friendly and supportive, and enjoy being outdoors in any weather.
Ideally, you would attend the same group(s) every week.
You will need to have a DBS check (which you can get through us). On-the-job training will be provided.
Forest School practitioners
We are looking for Forest School practitioners (Level 3) who would be interested in working with us on an ad-hoc basis. This could be standing in for our regular session lead for one of the parent and toddler groups, adult groups or parties, on a freelance (self-employed) basis.
You will need to have relevant experience, an up to date First Aid certificate and DBS.
Volunteers – Specialist advisers
We are looking for advisers to work with our directors on specific issues, e.g. inclusion, financial sustainability/business planning and fundraising.
